This large-scale maintenance and upgrade project at Lilyworld Café, Mt Smart Stadium involved the replacement of clear PVC Ziptrak® screen skins across eight existing outdoor blinds, restoring functionality, weather protection, and visual clarity for this busy hospitality venue.
Completed as part of an Auckland Council facility project, the work was carried out by our team as approved installers, ensuring all replacement materials and installation standards met the requirements for high-use commercial environments.
The project included replacement clear PVC skins for eight oversized Ziptrak® blinds:
- 4838 x 2800 mm
- 4850 x 2800 mm
- 4855 x 2800 mm
- 5785 x 2800 mm
- 5780 x 2800 mm
- 4857 x 2800 mm
- 4842 x 2800 mm
- 4854 x 2800 mm
The new skins were manufactured using premium Achilles clear PVC from Japan, featuring 0.75mm thickness for enhanced durability, flexibility, and optical clarity. Known for its superior performance in commercial outdoor applications, Achilles PVC provides excellent visibility while delivering reliable protection from wind and rain.
Each screen incorporated black welded side splines, ensuring smooth operation within the existing Ziptrak® track systems while maintaining a clean and professional finish.
In addition to the replacement work, the project also included a full post-installation service and adjustment of the blinds, ensuring optimal operation and long-term performance across all units.
