Our range of external screens includes Café Screens and Ziptrak blinds. Hence these are ideal to protect your valued outdoor furniture and living areas from the elements and the caprices of the changeable New Zealand weather both in winter and summer.
Cafe Screens are crank handle operated and usually free-hanging, hence they have lower cost. Another advantage is their easy installation, only requiring space for 2 brackets at the top of the external blind. They can either be supplied with simple folding eye plate ground locks, alternatively we have now introduced vertical tracks for Cafe Screens so that the usual gaps can be avoided.
Ziptrak blinds have a sophisticated vertical tracks system on each side and a custom made spline, providing complete rain and wind protection. They are really easy to operate and have a variety of custom options including a range of pelmets to guarantee a 100% match to your needs.
All our custom made screens can be both manual and automatic (remote controlled or hard wired) and manufactured using the highest quality clear or tinted PVC, a wide range of mesh fabrics (including Serge Ferrari range) and a variety of Docril acrylic fabrics.
Both drop-down screens are a perfect way to create additional outdoor living space and shelter your deck from wind and rain. We offer three distinctive fabric choices for our outdoor screens.
First of all, you can start with choosing our premium quality clear or tinted PVC sourced from one of Japan’s leading manufacturers. Stains and mildew protected, this beautiful PVC will preserve your view and protect from wind and UV. A minimum amount of wrinkles or deflections resulting in great looking outdoor blinds!
Furthermore you can opt for our wide range of mesh fabric.
Our offer includes Shadeview and Serge Ferrari mesh fabrics. Shadeview is a traditional take on the mesh fabric, with a weave basket fabric structure. The range includes Shadeview Classic, Urban and Extreme ranges. Shadeview Classic boasts 10% openness factor, Shadeview Urban has a 5% openness and Shadeview Extreme has 3% opacity.
In addition, our see-through fabric range now includes Serge Ferrari mesh fabrics. This range cleverly diffuses light, lends a pared-back finish and optimises views. It is available in Harmony 88, Horizon 86 and Lounge 96 ranges. The main advantage of Serge Ferrari fabric is its reduced weight and perforated structure. This ensures improved performance and longevity of the fabric. It also makes it much easier to clear as the dirt doesn’t get stuck between the threads.
Serge Ferrari also offer W96 Proof fabric – a translucent full privacy option – it guarantees 100% privacy, full water/wind protectection, but still allows some light through. Its texture resembles the one of Lounge 96 fabric.
Serge Ferrari is available in different opacity options with more than 50 colours across the range. Lounge 96 fabric has 4% openness, Harmony 88 has 8% and Horizon 86 has 14% openness, which is great for the instances when you wish to be able to enjoy your view in full, while benefiting from the improved privacy and sunshade.
Openness factor refers to how much light any given fabric transmits inside. 14% would let more sunlight than 5% in, but would also provide less privacy and wind/rain protection. Bear in mind that even the most open fabrics will offer a reasonable reduction in wind and rain getting through.
We can also manufacture compound screens – partially mesh, partially PVC with a weld across at the desired height.
Finally, we can use Docril acrylic fabrics for our Café Screens and Ziptrak blinds. These are the fabrics usually used for retractable awnings, available in a fantastic range of plain and striped fabrics. As a result Docril fabrics reduce solar heat gain by up to 90%, naturally creating a cool and comfortable environment. Above all these fabrics have been tested for harmful substances or chemicals and certified by a global system Oeko-TexR Standard 100. Above all Dupont Teflon coating makes Docril exceptionally resistant to water, high temperatures, chemical reaction, corrosion and stress-cracking.
Choose from a variety of options – free hanging, wire guided or side channels – it certainly depends on your design requirements and preferences. Talk to our specialists to get the best out of our outdoor screens.
We offer a selection of budget and premium European motors. As a result our drop down screens can go up and down with a push of a button. Choose a remote or a wall switch.
Screens can be installed inside and outside the reveal. Furthermore we can install them under the soffits or on the face of the wall. Call today to discuss the best suitable option for you.
