Completed a custom plantation shutter installation for a uniquely shaped window configuration, requiring detailed measuring and custom fabrication to achieve a clean, seamless finish. The design featured two hinged shutter sections fitted inside the window frames, with the upper shutter frame sitting partially over the lower section on an angle to follow the shape of the window.
The shutters were manufactured from high-quality VOC-free PVC, making them moisture and humidity resistant while remaining durable and low maintenance for long-term indoor use. Both the stiles and blades were aluminium reinforced for added strength and stability, with 74 mm blades finished in Brilliant White and matched with white snow hinges for a crisp modern appearance.
Due to the unusual shape and alignment of the window, extra care was taken during fabrication and installation to ensure the angled overlap between the upper and lower frames lined up cleanly while still allowing smooth operation of the hinged panels. The finished result delivered a sharp custom-built look that suited the architecture of the home while providing excellent light control, privacy, and durability.
