Luxaflex Evo External Awnings is a carefully crafted selection of high quality drop down screens, available in 3 distinctive models. These outdoor blinds have been really popular in Auckland and other major cities of NZ – Hamilton, Tauranga, Rotorua, Wellington, Christchurch, Queenstown and Dunedin.

Suitable for residential and commercial applications, Evo External Awnings are a top of the range sunshade and weather protection solution. Luxaflex drop down screens are available in the following models:

EVO Straight Drop – the most affordable external awning in the Evo range. It offers great sunshade and weather protection at a lower cost. It is generally a free-hanging screen that can be secured to the ground or the floor with folding eye plates or straps. Evo Straight Drop awnings can also be fixed at any height using custom made bolts if it is fixed between two poles.

EVO Cable Guide – this system allows the screen to be positioned at any height of the drop. It provides a great contemporary aesthetic with its stainless steel cable guides and has minimal interference with your view.

Evo STC (Side Tension Channel) – is the ultimate in straight drop awnings. It ensures the full enclosure of your outdoor areas due to its state of the art side channels providing great coverage for winter months. This system is not available with clear PVC as canvas.

All screens can be both manual (crank operated) and automated – Tube 45 10/16 non-tensioning motor or Somfy Loggia 15/17 50 RTS with fabric tensioning features. Stainless steel brackets guarantee rust-free service. Heavy duty bottom rail with an insect brush ensure a finished look. A range of mesh fabrics is available to choose from – Smart Shade Eco, Smart Shade and Smart Shade Plus. Clear PVC and Planosol canvas are also an option. Aluminium headbox both in open and closed style are included in the price. Spreader plate that provides extra fixing for brackets is also available on request.

Luxaflex EVO Awnings Operating Systems

Luxaflex EVO awnings have the following operating systems available:

Crank handle – sturdy 9:1 ratio gear box ensures that the manual operation is easy and comfortable for any user and in any wind situation.

Automation – all EVO screens can be automated using either Tube or Somfy motors. Somfy automated screens can be optionally connected to your smart home system or controlled via an app on your phone using Somfy Connexoon Hub system.

Spring operation – simply pull your EVO STC screen up/down to the required height and lock it with supplied Locking Bolts or Hold Down Clips. This feature only available for screens under 3.5 m wide and 2.5 m in drop.

Luxaflex EVO External Awnings can be manufactured using a wide range of high quality materials including:

Clear Welded PVC – 1500 mm wide rolls – ensures complete weather protection while featuring a fantastic level of transparency. Please note screens wider than 1200 mm require a vertical join. Coloured border is also required – colours available include White, Black, Light Grey, Dark Grey.

Smart Shade mesh – range of high quality mesh fabrics available in rolls up to 3200 mm wide.

Planosol plains and stripes – Designed to withstand the toughest Kiwi weather, this 100% acrylic woven fibre fabric is fade resistant, making Planosol® the perfect solution for New Zealand awnings.
