We were proud to be involved in a project for the Waihi Beach Surf Club, supplying and installing eight custom made Ziptrak® clear PVC blinds along with five fixed clear PVC infill panels, helping to create a sheltered, weatherproof outdoor area for club members and guests to enjoy year-round.
As subcontractors to Foster Construction, we fitted the blinds with face-fix aluminium channels and pelmets, using Achilles® clear PVC – a durable, high-clarity material that provides excellent weather protection without blocking the coastal view. For added safety, the PVC used was fire retardant, making it suitable for public-use environments like surf clubs.
All aluminium components, including the brackets, channels, and bottom rails, were custom powder-coated in Dulux Matt Titania for a clean, modern look that complements the building’s exterior.
The Ziptrak® system offers smooth, cord-free operation with no flapping or fuss. Each blind was made to measure for a precise fit, and the five fixed infills helped fully enclose the space, keeping wind and rain at bay while maintaining an open, airy feel.
