Create a practical, covered outdoor space — simple, durable, and ready for everyday use.

Design a functional outdoor living space that complements your home and lifestyle using the sleek, minimalistic design of the Outback® Flat Roof. This adaptable roofing system can be customized to cover any area surrounding your house. It can be installed either as a freestanding structure or connected to your home, making it suitable for use as a veranda or carport. By adding the special light panels, you can provide filtered light to the underside. The beams can span up to 8.4 metres and are available in 120mm or 150mm sizes.
Available in a range of high gloss colours to complement your home, this pergola features a steel roofing sheet with a clean, smooth underside that has a ‘ceiling-like’ finish. It can span up to 4.5 meters, allowing the support beams to be positioned further apart for a clean and uncluttered look.
The structure features chamfered and fluted beams and posts, which add both strength and elegance. The matching gutters unify the system, and the hidden fixing points and concealed brackets provide a refined appearance. We utilize either a galvanized (zinc) or zinc/aluminium (zinc/aluminium) protective coating to prevent corrosion of the steel products.

With their exceptional quality and longevity, these downpipes are an excellent investment for anyone looking to enhance the appearance and durability of their patio.
MAINTENANCE
In order to preserve the attractive appearance and extend the lifespan of your Stratco steel product, regular maintenance is crucial, especially for pre-painted coloured steel. This involves washing the product’s surface with clean water at least every six months, with more frequent washing recommended in coastal or industrial areas. The maintenance frequency should be enough to prevent the accumulation of dust, salts, pollutants, or any other materials that may reduce the product’s lifespan. However, products that are regularly washed by rain require no additional maintenance.
To clean areas that are not naturally cleaned by rain, use fresh and clean water, and it is advisable to wash the surface as often as you would wash your car. In marine or industrial environments, you should wash the surface more often. If clean water is not sufficient to clean the pergola surface completely, you may use a mild detergent solution applied with a soft-bristled nylon brush, but never use abrasive or solvent-based cleaners like turps, petrol, or kerosene.
Avoid locating a steel pergola near polluted areas or in areas with aggressive environmental factors that could reduce the life of the steel. This includes areas near diesel fumes, air-conditioners, clothes dryers, barbecues, sprinklers, bore water, water softeners and industrial applications. Steel products are not recommended for use over swimming pools.

OUTBACK FLAT ROOF – GABLE
A gable pergola is a type of outdoor structure that has a sloping roof with two sides that form a triangular peak.
The Outback Gable Verandah is available as either a standalone unit or attached to a house. By pairing it with flat roof or opening roof sections, the distinctive sloping roof becomes the appealing focal point of your outdoor living space. It comes in Multispan or Clearspan variations to match your desired design preferences. You can also enjoy natural filtered light by integrating Stratco Outback Rooflites into the roofing deck.
KEY FEATURES:
✓ Better ventilation: The gable design allows hot air to escape through the peak, which can help to keep the space below cooler and more comfortable.
✓ Improved aesthetics: Gable pergolas have a more traditional and classic look compared to flat pergolas, which can enhance the overall appearance of a backyard or outdoor living space.
✓ More headroom: The peaked roof of a gable pergola provides more headroom in the centre of the structure, which can be beneficial for creating a more spacious feel.
✓ Increased weather protection: The sloping design of a gable pergola can help to direct rain away from the centre of the structure, providing better protection for outdoor furniture and other items.
More design flexibility: Gable pergolas can be designed with various roof pitches and shapes, allowing for greater flexibility in the overall design of the structure.
