We used custom L brackets at the back of the pergola for this job. This allowed us to bring the back of the pergola up and allow more light in.
We also installed custom made flashings around the back of the pergola sealing the back of the roof to prevent water ingress.
Then our team used ClearVue Blue Breeze panels – these high tech acrylic panels block up to 45% of the heat, while allowing up to 70% of light through.
This is highly suitable for areas where you don’t want to lose too much light, but wish to get a greater level of temperature control at the same time.
As a finish off, our team installed a clear PVC Ziptrak screen to block the wind and rain.
